Grief tends to be at the foundation of most issues that people bring to therapy. Loss and change require adaptation, and many of us do not have the necessary skills to do this. The Expressive Therapies are very well suited for helping people to understand and deal with grief on physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual levels. This daylong Master Class draws upon the concepts of the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC), a proven practical model for guiding arts therapies treatment decisions, and the presenter’s book, Expressions of Healing: Embracing the Process of Grief.

Sandra L. Graves-Alcorn, PhD, ATR-BC, LPAT, is a retired professor emeritus from the University of Louisville who founded the master’s program there.
