Combining Creative Arts Therapy and Yoga: Nurturing Self, Mind & Body

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This daylong experiential Master Class will present a theory, approach, and practical system for integrating complementary yoga and creative arts therapy.  Participants will learn how to respond to a variety of clinical issues through yoga, the symbolic hand gestures of mudra, and creative arts directives. Mudra and yoga sequences can engage and facilitate the mind-body in flow. A brief meditation happens next, to further tap into inner resources, followed by the process of creating art for self-expression and reflection strategies for self-awareness and discovery. After participants combine yoga sequences with artmaking, they will form groups, create their own complementary structures, and then present them to the class for participation and discussion. No previous experience with yoga is required.
