ROOM 704

"How can you do that?" is a comment frequently heard by hospice workers when they speak about their work. This workshop is intended to address the many questions people have about what hospice work entails (and what it does not), as well as its benefits for patients, family members, caregivers, and staff. It will include specifics on how creative art therapies, with an emphasis on art and music, are applied to enrich the experience of both patients and therapists. Participants will engage in an experiential Reiki exercise followed by a directive that invites them to explore and express personal challenges and ways they might access their own healing powers for inner strength and resolution.
