Sound Bath: Deep Listening with Therapeutic Drone Instruments

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

ROOM 803

Life surrounds us with vibrations; indeed, we are made of them. This workshop will guide participants on a journey of deep listening using therapeutic drone instruments, meditation and voice work to demonstrate a homeopathic approach to wellness. During periods of anxiety, depression or trauma, deep listening can alleviate symptoms of stress by slowing down the heart rate, facilitating abdominal breathing, promoting stillness, and providing opportunities for insight. Using large crystal and Tibetan bowls (and other therapeutic drones), participants will learn how to listen deeply with all the senses and entrain their bio-rhythms towards these harmonious sounds. We will discuss the healing power of vibrations in balancing the nervous system using the "Principle of Similars," and introduce analytic tools and mindfulness techniques to be considered for the use of sound baths in clinical work.
