Environmental Art Therapy: Transforming Inner & Outer Landscapes

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Central Park - Sunday
(Depart together from the 8th floor lounge)

As Environmental Art Therapists, our work is directed inwardly as well as being outward-bound. By forming, making, and building outdoors, we allow for a deeper, often transformational relationship within and beyond self. In this experiential outdoor workshop, we will explore, through art-making outdoors, the profound relationship between the environment and our emotional and psychological states. We will meet in the 8th floor lounge at the Executive Conference Center, then walk to Central Park, where we will spend the entire workshop, so please be prepared and dress for all of nature's contingencies. This experience will introduce how Environmental Art Therapy can facilitate multidimensional outcomes for our clients. A theoretical explanation and examples of application will be offered in addition to direct practice.

NOTE: It will be November in NYC, so please dress appropriately for this outdoor session. We're aiming for "shine," but be prepared for rain.
