How did New York become the “Big Apple”? Who prevailed in the quest to build the tallest building in the world? How and when did Charging Bullarrive on Wall Street? Explore New York's 400-year history in an “iconic” sightseeing tour! Trace the city’s tumultuous path from land of the Lenape to enviable world-class city! We’ll begin at the Irish pub ("folk house") called Ulysses'—one of the oldest bars in New York. Leaving the picturesque cobblestone Pearl Street, we’ll rewind in time to the city’s ‘beginnings’ at its southern tip on Bowling Green. Then we'll trace its path from Dutch colony to British colony to free republic, as we stroll up Broadway. Along the way we’ll visit the famous bronze sculpture Charging Bull, America’s first “true” restaurant, The Trump Building (ever seen The Apprentice?), theWoolworth BuildingCity Hall, and more. We’ll also catch an up-close look at the city’s future at the site of the Freedom Tower, also known as One World Trade Center.

$10 ticket required; available via online registration. Tour limited to 12 participants.
